I do love the sunny weather and we have been getting a lot more than usual for us this early in the summer. They are even predicting sun for the 4th of July and that is a rarity among the slug dwellers of the Pacific Northwest. So today, in this nice weather I decided to paint my lawn furniture. I never thought much about it, I had this furniture at the house on the covered deck. So it was a small table and chairs so I brought it to the condo, fits perfectly!!! It is also metal, and during all the rain in the winter, I noticed some rust developing where none had been before since it had always been covered. Well being the crafty person that I am…..ahem….. I bought some Rust-0leum in a matching color and have been outside painting the chairs and table. Everything looks great. Just one minor thing I forgot regarding paint. It needs time to dry. I am just not the sharpest knife in the drawer with all this household stuff. I have always hated to do it, but when you are single you gotta do whatcha gotta do, and sometimes you have to sacrifice things for it to work. Today I sacrificed a sundress. I was so busy taping and painting, I forgot what I was actually doing and sat down in one of the chairs I had just finished painting!! After I realized it, I just sat there and finished the other chair, I mean what am I going to do, so I now have these great tan stripes (of a sort) along the back of my dress. Needless to say I had to redo the chair I sat in, but oh well. At least I found all the spots I missed on the first go round. Now I have what looks like a brand new table and chairs out on the deck. This time, I will get a cover for them since this new deck is uncovered. My poor dress…..
Not going to say a word….
